South Bay AYSO kicked off the 2012 season with fun for the whole family. Coordinator Luisa Dasis helped bring in a number of booths/vendors–from SportZone to The Super Dentists to Italian Ice Cream. Scrimmages were held throughout the day, and two Matrix competitive matches took place on the big field. Commissioner Marco Beltran was assisted by youth players in leading the Pledge of Allegiance. This year, we had to overcome a number of obstacles to make sure Opening Day was possible, including preparation of the fields and access to the new parking lot. We are very grateful to our volunteer coaches, team managers and Board members who helped make the day a success.
“Thanks to all for a great Opening Day!” Mrs. Dasis said. “The players had fun, there was great food and the kids got some free stuff from Dr. Keri’s Dental Office. Thanks to each and every one of you for your dedication, hard work, time. I greatly appreciate all of the volunteers that were sent help to help out! I look forward to forward to another exciting Opening Day next year!”
Indeed, AYSO thanks Mrs. Dasis in particular, and all of our volunteers for making a difference for our youth.
